| The White Garden of
Perfection
White is the brightest of all colors. It symbolizes innocence, purity
and magnanimity. For impressionists, it was no color at all - an untenable
assertion, because white is the sum of all colors that light contains. White,
the light of perfection, is also a religious color. Angeles, the heavenly
messengers, are clothed in white, just like the gods in ancient history. It
radiates a feeling of lightness, brightness and solemnity.
In the White Garden you will find the Slender Deutzia (Deutzia
gracilis), Evergreen Candytuft (Iberis
sempervirens), Heather (Calluna vulgaris), White
Lavender (Lavendula angustifolia "Nana Alba"), Iris (Iris
Barbara Elatior Hybride), Bleeding Heart (Dicentra
spectabilis "Alba"), Summer Snow (Anaphalis
triplinervis), Blazing Star (Liatris
spicata), Meadow Rue (Thalictrum tuberasum)
