It's a baby ....  02.05.2004

… Brazilian tapir, born on 1^st May 2004. Mum 'Shanny' and her 6 kg boy are both well – so are Dad 'Bruno' and last years baby 'Sira'. After being licked dry by Mum the little baby took a lusty sip of milk and started to explore first parts of his world. Within the next days he can be seen walking around outdoors accompanied by his family.
